I've done some small updates I've been thinking about doing for a long time. The comments are back! Yay, now I can talk with myself both in the shoutbox and in the comments!  Also removed the big box on the frontpage. It was simply too much space for a few headlines. Now you will get right on the latest blog post (hello!). I've also reworked the sidebar a bit, now a small box with recent posts are there (as a replacement for the missing headlines box above the blog), and it moves! If you haven't had time to vote in the poll (you really should) the poll goes on top, but if you already voted, the headlines goes first instead. Also changed a few things in the coding, but mostly non-visible stuff.
Now, for the second time in history, a post with an image!

Ah, and as the observant people already noticed, I've removed the little sidebar displaying the music. It will be back (sometime) with a text-based equivalent later.

So this one takes me past the 100 mark, yay! Old poll ended, new poll started!
I've stopped playing World of Warcraft for the fourth time this week, and currently I'm gameless o_O. I dont really feel like going back to DotA again so I'll just gonna chill with the gaming for a while. Age of Conan looks a bit interesting but I'm a little negative to the "playable on Xbox as well" concept, the PC controls might suffer from that. Gonna check if they have and free trial week or something, dont wanna pay for a game that's probably just a wow with a prettier dress.
Aria, one of the best animes I've seen, have ended. Boohoo  . Great ending though, and there's still a DVD-only episode unreleased.
That will have to do for May, next time its summer (we're not quite there yet up here in luleå) see ya then.

Gallery Updates - 2008-04-21

Yes, the long overdue updates to the gallery has finally been initiated. I've been unhappy with the "open a new page for each image" style of the gallery, and was looking for a way to add a next/previous interface to it. I've previously had been working with Lightbox JS in a theme for phpBB (at my old wow guild homepage), and it fits my needs perfectly. But its a bit to heavy for my taste, so I've been experimenting with different lightweight variants, currently using litebox.
In addition to the "show" aspect, I've also implemented an auto-thumbnail generation in php. If it finds an image that doesn't have a thumbnail generated, they will be created on the fly by the script and saved on the server for the future. This will hopefully mean that the gallery pages will load faster (earlier I had the complete image as thumbnail, just scaled down in html), look smoother (resampling instead of html scale) and save me some bandwidth.
Next up on my update list is the blog frontpage! I'm also experimenting with flex and flash programs without using the Flash CS3 IDE, just text editor and command line compiler. So maybe a new game.... but don't expect it anytime soon

Skellefteå AIK made it to the SM-Finals, so for the rest of the season I've forced the AIK theme on my site (your regular theme will be back after).
I've made a small update on the shoutbox, not AJAX yet (working on it), only a little javascript. And the comments will be back after I fixed the shoutbox since they will share some code.
Three posts already this month, and many more to come! (maybe)

I'm experimenting a little with AJAX, and what better place to experiment then here? . So far I've put together a little tagging functionality for the news.
It (will) work like this:
» I create a new entry and add some relevant tags to it
» The tags is displayed under the post
» Visitors can then click on a tag they think is fitting for the post
» Clicking on the tag will add weight to that tag (AJAX)
» Tags with higher weight will display in bigger/bolder style
» Clicking on the image next to the tag will show other posts tagged with the same tag
At the moment I've completed the AJAX part, but new weights wont show on the tags unless page is reloaded, and there's no image to click to get to similar tagged posts. But soon
Future plans includes AJAX-ifying the shoutbox and poll! A little more 2.0 now, wai!
Edit: Woot 80 000 uniques! Also the comment function has disappeared somehow, will fix it later...

I really like how the new highscore system turned out, and so far each month is getting enough plays to keep it interesting . In another month or two I will wipe the scores from before November 2007 (the scores without date), so from then on it will be easier to get into the top 100. At least for a few months...
With this system in place, I really feel like I should make another game, its a bit wasted with only two games. The problem at the moment is... flash. Can hardly remember how to do anything, and when I tried with the new 3.0(?) actionscript I couldnt get anything to work, and gave up to early. Also the game idea was a bit complicated. I think this time I'll start simple and just let evolve along the way (kinda like how I did combo).
Also been doing a little css-ing on the side for my friend Anton over at GameSiteTemplates.com. Some of that work inspired me to redesign this page . Though sometimes it just drives me nuts trying to make it work in both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Good thing I restarted playing wow recently, I can always log in and take out my frustration on some lowbies .
My draenei mage is now level 50 and are just about to venture into the sunken temple!
I'll try to think a little on the gaming for next time and probably post some ideas I have. No guarantees though.

2008 already!? Nothing new here though, the theme is back to your regular one, no more xmas until next december . 75000 visitors passed, wohoo! And maybe a new game this year?
